Rue Douce began with a simple frustration: closets full of clothes, and nothing that felt right to reach for. We wanted fewer things — chosen carefully, made honestly, and worn for years.
What we make
A tight edit of ready-to-wear and leather goods: dresses and separates that layer together, and bags built to carry a day without fuss. Nothing seasonal for its own sake.
How we make it
We work with a small group of makers and hold every piece to the same test — would we still want it in three years? Natural fibres where we can, considered hardware, and finishing you can feel on the inside of a seam.
The name
Rue Douce — “gentle street.” A quieter way to get dressed, and a softer pace of buying.
